At last!

After a hectic few weeks, I have finally managed to get my new eBook up and running: Website Traffic Secrets Uncovered.

I have to admit, getting the sales page just right took a fair amount of concentration. It was easier to write the eBook than to make the sales page attention grabbing. Special thanks to Randy Smith of www.RandySmith.com for his critique of my sales page. I followed his SalesLetterABC and it made a hard job so much easier.

Once I had everything finished, I applied to Clickbank for approval. I submitted it on Friday morning and expected a reply sometime on Monday or Tuesday. To my absolute surprise and amazement, I got a reply back within hours. It wasn’t what I was expecting though. I had some minor points that I needed to correct before it could get approved.

These were simple enough. Instead of 8 weeks (or 56 days) guarantee, I had to give 60 days, which meant having to change my graphics. Not so much of a problem because I had saved the PSD. The other thing was to put my contact details on the sales page. Again, not much of a problem. I corrected the bits that needed doing, uploaded to my server and wrote an email to Melissa (bless her) at Clickbank saying I had corrected what she had asked me to do.

Again, within hours, I had a reply saying it was approved. All I needed to do was to pay the activation fee and it would be in the Clickbank market place in 24 hours.

I paid the activation fee Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening it was in the Clickbank market place, as promised.

When I woke up on Monday morning, I looked at my Clickbank stats (of course, after taking the dog for a walk and having a cup of tea and completing my ablutions…..) and again, surprise and amazement. I had 18 affiliates and A SALE…….

By Monday evening, I had made 3 sales (thanks to those who know). I cannot express how excited I felt. AND, to cap it all, I had 3 OPT-INS.

Now it is Saturday, 1 week after paying my activation fee, and 6 days after being in the Clickbank market place. I have made 7 sales and have 7 opt-ins and have 27 affiliates promoting it for me.

It’s all about knowing EXACTLY what to do and in what order to do it in. Which brings me to my second thanks. Thank you John Thornhill of PlanetSMS and his coaching program. My head is spinning with ideas and I am already on track for creating another product. I am still coming up with ideas for updates to Website Traffic Secrets Uncovered. This is going to be a gargantuan traffic-generating journal.

I have to admit, I am not too sure how the Clickbank stats work yet, but that will come with experience.

My affiliate page has been completed and perhaps some of the buyers of Website Traffic Secrets Uncovered are also my affiliates. I hope so, because with the 50% commission I am paying, two sales and they will have, in effect, got my eBook for nothing.

My affiliates page looks quite good (I think). Now, I just have to find a little time to promote my efforts. This is going to be another job entirely, but I know I WILL get rewards for my efforts.

How I love going out to work, coming back and seeing the little “You have a new message” box. It makes the past 10 weeks all worthwhile. (Most of the emails are rubbish, but the email from Clickbank sticks out like a sore thumb!!!).

Time to go out and do a few hours on the beach huts.
